Blackbird Roman

Blackbird Roman was created as part of a larger branding project for Blackbird. It is the font that acts as the center piece of their logo with support from its sister font, Blackbird Script. The alternate character set not only helps fill visual gaps in words with ligatures and flourishes, but many of the alternate characters help pull the font away from feeling too masculine or rigid. The alternates, when mixed in with the standard alphabet, add a playful aspect to an otherwise fairly mature feeling typeface.
