Hello!

My name is JP. I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Philadelphia, PA, specializing in brand identity, custom typography, hand lettering, and package design. I love to draw, cut and glue things, Xerox copy them, and screen print them. I vectors hand drawn illustrations, creates fonts and have designed everything from coffee lid stickers and guitar pics, to billboards and stage banners.

Since I was a kid, I have also been drumming in bands—including the bands Ex Friends, No Summer, Weston, and Beach Slang. And I currently play in Bug Heaven and Lax Poetic. My lifelong participation in music informs my design sensibility and approach. Especially when I’m drawing and designing for other bands.

Along with his my beautiful and talented Nicole Saltzer, I have co-founded Sparkwell Design Studio, a boutique branding and design studio. We have also co-founded Sparkwell Press, where Nicole and I hand draw and hand screen print greeting cards, paper goods, and limited edition fine art prints.
