Fairmount Gothic is a typeface born out of necessity.
I wanted a font with roots in classic sign painter lettering, but weighted and proportioned to reflect the utilitarian type of the mid-century American era of consumer product design.
This version of it makes use of evenly rounded corners. No part of any two or more ligatures meeting creates a point, and all corners have been rounded.
