Zoo York

Zoo York Apparel

When I was growing up in the late 80's and early to mid 90's, skateboarding became the lifestyle of the coolest and the weirdest. I was always really drawn in by the bright colors and uncensored approach to nearly everything from the stickers and shirts to the boards themselves. (Admittedly, I was always much better at drawing and playing drums than I was skating.) Getting to create art for skate companies as an adult (read: perpetual teenager) is a dream come true. Below are just a few samples of the many designs I've done for Zoo York, a skate company that has been around since 1993, when I was 12 years old. It is that very (very) familiar outlook of a teenage weirdo that I let guide me in my approach to creating these designs.
